Goa Panaji : The Santnej Road and the Panaji Mahanagar Road were suddenly closed on Friday, causing a complete standstill for vehicular traffic.
Without any warning from the Uttar Goa District Collector or the traffic police, the road contractor had closed the road suddenly on Thursday morning. Due to this, the people became wary.
There was a strong objection from the public that the main road was closed in Panaji without any notice about the road being closed.
Due to the sudden closure of the road, the shopkeepers in this area suffered huge losses. The shop owner expressed displeasure over this.

ಪಣಜಿ: ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಂತನೇಜ್ ರಸ್ತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಣಜಿ ಮಹಾನಗರದ ರಸ್ತೆ ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಸ್ಥಗಿತಗೊಂಡು ಜನತೆ ಪರದಾಡುವಂತಾಯಿತು.
ಉತ್ತರಗೋವಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಪೋಲಿಸರಿಂದ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆಯೇ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆದಾರರು ಗುರುವಾರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಜನತೆ ಪರದಾಡುವಂತಾಯಿತು.
ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕುರಿತು ಯಾವುದೇ ನಾಮ ಫಲಕ ಹಾಕದೆಯೇ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆ ಇಲ್ಲದೆಯೇ ಪಣಜಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಂದ ತೀವ್ರ ಆಕ್ಷೇಪ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಯಿತು.
ಇದ್ದಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಗಡಿದಾರರಿಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ನಷ್ಠ ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತಾಯಿತು. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಅಂಗಡಿ ಮಾಲೀಕರು ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
